2024 Black Educators Night Out

Urban Ed Academy, BlackFemaleProject’s Teacher Truth initiative, and Black Teacher Project have united as partnering nonprofits serving Black educators in the Bay Area to host Black Educators’ Night Out. This year’s event collaboration speaks to the growing community of Black educators and combines two separate events into one big joy-centered gathering that celebrates and honors Black teachers.

To show our appreciation for the unique gifts Black teachers show up with everyday to support our students and strengthen our communities, we host this evening of music, dancing, food, drinks, wellness activities, and more. Educators join to relax, mingle, reflect, and laugh in this curated Black teacher affinity space.

Black Educators’ Night Out supports Black educator’s mental health and wellness by providing:

• an elevated and curated space of appreciation
• curated wellness activations and joyful activities
• resources for professional and personal development
• affinity fellowship with other Black educators
